Suggestions?   December 29th, 2008

Hey,

I bet you have a ton of suggestions…or better yet know a great way to use Mezzoman in your everyday life! We want to hear from you!

drop me a line: marc@mezzoman.com

There was an issue when dragging the midpoint, some of the site effects were going a little nuts and would smash certain elements together. This has since been resolved.

Thanks,

Marc

Mezzoman v2.0 Is HERE!!!   December 17th, 2008

The new version is finally here! If features four new features that none of our competitors have:

1. The Midpoint location system no longer uses a straight line or “as the crowe flies” approach, instead it uses roads. No more meeting the middle of Lake Michigan!
2. The Result size is adjustable from Small, used in short distances, to Large used in large distances.
3. Depending on where you land (in the US only) there is a link for Yahoo! Weather at the midpoint.
4. If your midpoint is near any Local Events, links to information will be posted about those events. That way you can find a restaurant to meet, a show or event to go afterwards and know which day to go based on the weather.

One other neat feature, under each result you can click “Email…” and if you have an email client installed such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Entourage you can email a friend the place you would like to eat.

Gmapsmania did a great story about 100 great uses for Google Maps, they chose mezzoman (#34) and you can find that info here: http://gmapsmania.googlepages.com/100thingstodowithgooglemapsmashups
